This is the intro post for a three part series called, “Great Websites, Limited Funds”.
Over the next week or two we’ll be looking at the most effective way to create a great website with a set amount of money. Each post will deal with a different amount of money, $100, $1,000 and $10,000.
No matter which part of the scale you fall into, you’ll get great advice on where to spend your money and what provides the best ROI.

With each amount of money our goal will be to double that money in 6 months. That can come from you building a great site and selling it or from your building and keeping it. Either way, we’ll be trying to take your money and double it.
This is kinda like betting it all on red at the Roulette table, except when you bet your money on a websites success you get to control where the ball lands.

It’s contest time!
Let’s imagine for a moment that you aren’t a millionaire and you only had $100 to spend on SEM (search engine marketing).
What would you do? How would you spend that $100?
All you have to do is send me an email with the best way to spend $100 marketing your website. The website could be new or old, but you can’t spend over $100 exactly on your marketing.
You could have articles written, buy PPC ads, buy a site review, whatever. Make sure you give me some details because I might be using your idea in a future post.

Text-Link-Ads.com sent me an email this morning about the new ability to allow people to advertise on popular posts on my websites.
This is awesome because some of my sites are full with 10/10 advertisers and therefore fully monetized with text-link-ads.com. This new product will allow me to continue to monetize by writing popular posts.
This will be perfect for people that are popular with Digg or people who have a very strong and loyal following.
Personally I can’t wait to find out more about how it works and to see it in action. I’m sure there will be some bugs to work out, but TLA has awesome support and usually can resolve an issue within a day.
