		<description>I had a standard attic fan for any number of years, although in my part of the country that meant climbing up into the attic and insulating it every winter. A few years ago I switched over to a whole house fan from Tamarack Technologies, which is much quieter than a standard fan and has insulated doors which open and close when the fan is turned on and off. You don&#039;t get quite the &quot;airplane propeller&quot; noise or air flow of a traditional attic fan, but I think of that as an advantage.</description>
